Job summary

Journey's In Community Living seeks a dedicated Job Coach to help people obtain and maintain employment, while promoting independence and dignity in daily activities. You will provide job skills coaching, monitor health tasks, and support family and team collaboration in a person-centered setting.

The role includes arranging transportation for interviews, trainings, and placements, documenting progress, and following individualized plans to ensure successful community employment outcomes.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Medication administration training and Relias training preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet consistent attendance requirements.
• Class D Driver license for State of Tennessee required.
• 6 months experience teaching work and/or life skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for daily living activities and learning job skills.
• Promote dignity, rights, and quality of life in the workplace.
• Support community integration and employment opportunities.
• Administer medications according to safety guidelines.
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to individuals.
• Transport and accompany clients to job interviews and trainings.
• Maintain confidentiality and complete timely reports.
• Follow agency policies and participate in team meetings.
