Job summary

Riverside Community Care is seeking an Employment Specialist to join our team. The role provides flexible, comprehensive employment supports using IPS/Supported Employment principles to help individuals work and engage in their communities.

The Employment Specialist will educate clients and teams about employment opportunities, coordinate with the team on readiness and skills development, and advocate for expanded employment options in the community. Full-time, 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• provide flexible, comprehensive employment supports following principles of the IPS/Supported Employment model
• work with individuals, approaching all service users as having the potential to work, and will engage them in job placement and support, coordinating with the Team, as needed, to assist with readiness and associated skills development
• educate individuals, team members, and others about employment and education opportunities and provide guidance about benefits management in the context of employment and education
• represent the agency in discussions with employers and will advocate within the community for the expansion of employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities
