Job summary

Diversus Health seeks an Employment Specialist to help clients obtain and maintain competitive, community-based employment aligned with their vocational goals. The role is primarily field-based, with 65% client engagement and active work in developing employer partnerships.

You will conduct needs assessments, plan individualized employment strategies, and collaborate with families and the treatment team to ensure progress and stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Six months to one year of experience with job development or vocational rehabilitation for a similar population preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to build rapport with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

• Conducts functional needs assessment and determines IPS service appropriateness.
• Engage clients to develop employment goals and establish employer partnerships.
• Develop an IEP with client input and collaborate with the treatment team and family as appropriate.
• Conduct job development and search activities; support clients in applying for roles in the community.
• Provide follow-along supports and negotiate workplace accommodations when needed.
• Maintain documentation of services with accuracy and timeliness.
