Job summary

The Bridge is seeking an Employment Specialist in Bronx, NY to join a multi-disciplinary team supporting adults with behavioral health needs in pursuing meaningful career goals. This field-based role requires 80% community-based services and a strong focus on recovery-oriented planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, or master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health or criminal justice fields is desirable.
• Knowledge of treatment and community support programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and six-month assessments using standardized screening instruments.
• Provide crisis intervention and relapse prevention planning.
• Identify needed treatment services and objectives for service plans.
• Support housing, income, education, and vocational training needs.
• Complete recovery-oriented service plans and reviews; modify as needed.
• Provide vocational counseling and assist access to adult education and employment.
• Deliver 24-hour crisis intervention on a rotating on-call basis.
• Collaborate with ACT team and community providers to access entitled services.
