Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Teller for our Hamburg, IA branch to handle daily teller transactions and deliver outstanding client service. You will develop and maintain client relationships by recognizing referral opportunities for additional products and other lines of business.

Responsibilities include processing deposits/payments, cashing checks, answering questions, and maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in all transactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a cash handling role preferred.
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits and loan payments, cash checks, process withdrawals, and handle related transactions.
• Answer clients’ questions in person and by phone.
• Identify cross-sell and referral opportunities by informing clients of new services and products.
• Utilize 360View to record activities, incidents, and referrals to business partners and other lines of business.
• Complete consumer credit card applications and related tasks.
• Reconcile cash drawer and maintain appropriate cash supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to security procedures; participate in required trainings.
