Job summary

CAMS (Community Association Management Services) is seeking a Community Associate (Manager in Training) to join as a full-time, salaried role that immerses newcomers in community management. You will shadow managers and begin the educational journey to become a portfolio manager, with a transition window of six to eighteen months.

You will learn to maintain board communications, prepare budgets, analyze financials, and coordinate vendors while supporting daily operations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in learning new technology and systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Proven ability to review and analyze financial reports.
• Understanding of budgeting and variance analysis.
• Ability to coordinate meetings and manage vendor relations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open communication with boards of directors and homeowners.
• Prepare and present budgets to boards.
• Analyze monthly financial reports and create variance reports.
• Create monthly management reports.
• Coordinate with vendors for community maintenance projects.
• Oversee daily operations of a portfolio of communities.
• Attend board and internal team meetings.
• Supervise administrative and maintenance staff when applicable.
