Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina seeks a Community Engagement Coordinator to advance access to care through culturally responsive outreach, language access support, and patient navigation. You will build partnerships across statewide programs and assist vaccination clinics, biometric screenings, and community-based events.

The role requires collaboration with CHE leadership and external partners to promote accessible health services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred in a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in community outreach, community health, public health, language access services, program administrative support, or related field.
• Requires valid driver's license.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support community outreach events (mobile clinics, health fairs, forums) including planning, coordination, and execution.
• Assist CHE Mobile Health clinics, telehealth visits, and document in EPIC.
• Provide navigation support to connect patients with health services and SDOH resources.
• Maintain knowledge of UNC Health programs by attending trainings and community events.
• Educate community members on health topics and provide evidence-based materials.
• Support language access programs, including translations and interpretation as needed.
• Ensure accurate program data and create narrative reports and visuals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
