Job summary

The City of South Salt Lake is seeking a Communities That Care (CTC) Coordinator under the Deputy Director to plan and build community support for the South Salt Lake Cares Coalition. The CTC Coordinator will oversee committees, engage community leaders, partners, residents and volunteers to advance goals and address root issues related to substance misuse, mental/physical health and social impact.

Responsibilities

• 1. Uses effective group facilitation skills to guide the coalition through the CTC planning and implementation process.
• 2. Helps each committee complete milestones & benchmarks and trains Chairs on prevention science, CTC framework and meeting facilitation.
• 3. Coordinates inter-committee efforts to identify and solve problems in milestones and benchmarks.
• 4. Recruits key leaders and potential community board members.
• 5. Maintains coalition health by recruiting and engaging members and training Chairs.
• 6. Prepares for and leads CTC workshops with support from the CTC coach.
• 7. Handles community board and Chair meeting prep and follow-up.
• 8. Prepares documentation and standardizes reports across committees.
• 9. Facilitates delegation of tasks and data analysis, outreach and board meetings.
• 10. Develops and implements a comprehensive community prevention plan and action plans for committees.
• 11. Establishes systems to monitor intervention implementation.
• 12. Oversees implementation of preventive interventions by committees.
• 13. Disseminates CTC information to leaders, schools and youth service providers; presents to boards.
• 14. Assists in grant writing and budgeting.
