Job summary

West Central District Health Department (WCDHD) in partnership with Community Connections seeks a SAPS Coordinator/Health Promotion Program Coordinator. The role blends coalition leadership with overdose prevention, totaling 40 hours weekly across two organizations in Lincoln County.

The successful candidate will coordinate prevention activities, lead coalition efforts, and support grant-funded initiatives with a focus on reducing substance misuse and improving community health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health or related field (preferred).
• Experience in prevention, public health, health promotion, or coalition work is a plus.
• Knowledge of Lincoln County and local resources is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Community Connections SAPS Coalition and strengthen community-wide prevention systems.
• Facilitate meetings and maintain relationships with coalition members and partners.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive prevention plan based on data and evidence-based strategies.
• Organize prevention initiatives, trainings, events, and campaigns to raise awareness and reduce misuse.
• Monitor progress, report outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed.
• Assist with overdose prevention planning, data collection, and grant-funded activities.
