Job Overview
Provide communications support for the Federal Energy & Nuclear Industry sector, focusing on the Department of Energy – Idaho Operations Office (DOE‑ID). The role is full‑time, exempt W‑2, paid on a no‑overtime basis, and requires on‑site work at the DOE‑ID office in Idaho Falls, ID. The position supports program support functions and professional services engagements for DOE‑ID and related Federal Energy and Nuclear sector clients.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop, edit, and manage internal and external communications, including reports, presentations, stakeholder materials, and web content.
- Write and proofread content for a variety of media—presentations, web pages, and formal reports—ensuring accuracy and alignment with federal communication guidelines.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior stakeholders and partner clients, supporting strategic messaging for DOE‑ID.
- Collaborate with technical writers and subject‑matter experts to produce clear, concise, and mission‑focused documents.
- Maintain consistent brand and tone across all communications, following company and federal standards.
- Assist with project management tasks, maintaining timelines, milestones, and deliverables for communications projects.
Desired Qualifications
- 4–6 years of professional communications experience, ideally within federal or regulated environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and presentation software.
- Strong editing, proofreading, and content‑creation skills across multiple media platforms.
- Knowledge of federal communication guidelines and the Federal Energy & Nuclear sector is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, time‑management, and organizational skills.
