$35.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Communications Specialist

Reports to: Director of Marketing & Communications

Compensation: $35-$45/hour, 20-25 hours/week

Employment type: Part-Time/Consultant

About the Position

We seek a talented, experienced, and hands-on Communications Specialist to lead and support digital marketing efforts, working closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications on various aspects of our B2B marketing and communications needs. This role is ideal for someone who values variety in their daily work, takes full ownership of specific systems, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. If you are a creative, self-motivated marketing professional with a passion for digital marketing and a proven track record of enhancing online presence, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage our social media presence on platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram, including content development, approval processes, and collaboration with leadership and staff
  • Create engaging digital content, including graphics and videos tailored to each platform and optimized for performance
  • Oversee posting and moderation of social media accounts
  • Support website management, SEO/SEM campaigns, and other digital media projects as needed
Key Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting, grammar, editing, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts for a brand, preferably in professional firms
  • Proficiency with social media management tools like Linkin.bio and design tools such as Canva or InDesign
  • Up-to-date with social media trends and best practices
  • Hospitality experience is strongly preferred—please share your work experiences in restaurants, bars, hotels, etc.
Time, Workload, & Work Environment

This position is part-time and remote, with the option to work from our Financial District office. Working hours are 10AM-6PM Monday through Friday; schedule details will be discussed at hiring. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Director and other staff to support content development, organization, and dissemination.
