Apex Systems is hiring a Network Communications Engineer for a government client, based on 100% on-site at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC. Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

The role focuses on evaluating and administering LAN/BAN/WAN networks, coordinating with sites, and performing complex network testing and integration. A CCNA (or ability to obtain within 6 months) and extensive relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance is required.
• CCNA certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• 8 years of relevant experience (education can substitute per policy: Masters +2, Bachelors +4, Associates +6).

Network Communications Engineer

Apex Systems is immediately hiring for a Network Communications Engineer with a large government client supporting the Navy & Marine Corps at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC!

Position requires a currently active, DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance.

Location: 100% on-site at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, DC

Schedule: M-F, Core Business Hours (8-hour shifts)

Pay: $46.75 - $49.75/hour (depending upon experience)

Will receive accrual of Paid Federal Sick Leave + Paid Federal Holidays.

Contract: Long-term rolling

Overview:

• Evaluate communication hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN), and other network related problems.
• Administer LAN/BAN/WANs.
• Schedule conversions and cutovers.
• Coordinate with all responsible users and sites.
• Specialized experience in the performance and configuration of networks as well as the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks.

Requirements:

• Active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance
• CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) OR ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment
• 8 years of relevant experience (education can be used in lieu of experience – Masters and 2 years, Bachelors and 4 years, Associates and 6 years)
