Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join an Agile IT Infrastructure team. The role focuses on Windows or Linux system administration, scripting for automation, and ongoing patching and maintenance to support development and operations.

The position requires active DoD security clearance, U.S. citizenship, and experience with AD/GP, Linux, Windows, and virtualization. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently hold an active DoD 8570 certificate (Security+, etc.).
• Currently hold an active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI clearance.
• 3+ years of IT administration experience.
• Experience with hypervisors such as RedHat OpenStack, Hyper‑V, or VMware.
• Scripting with bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.
• Experience with RHEL 9, Windows 11 and Server 2022, and network equipment.
• Experience with IT system security hardening.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.

Apex Systems is seeking a talented and dedicated Systems Engineer to become a member of an Agile team focused on IT Infrastructure (Systems Administration, Networking, & Hardware).

In this role you will:

Basic Qualifications
