This is a fantastic opportunity to join Capita’s Health & Welfare communications team, supporting one of Capita's largest contracts.
As the Internal Communications Manager, you’ll be stepping into a pivotal role, helping to connect and engage our 2000 colleagues. Your insight and creativity will help drive this transformation forward.
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for delivering clear, engaging communications that keep employees informed, aligned, and inspired—especially during times of change. You’ll also lead initiatives that build a sense of community and purpose across the sector. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a strong copywriter with a talent for crafting compelling content across a range of channels.

What you’ll be doing:
Develop and execute internal communications plans to increase awareness and engagement from colleagues across the workforce
Develop content for a variety of internal comms channels, including email, video, cascades, conferences and via Teams
Develop and manage a SharePoint site
Oversee the internal communications content plan
Support operational priorities across the sector with internal communications activity, including cascades and targeted initiatives
Lead on organising a team conference including event content and agenda, attendees and logistics
Track progress, reaction and feedback on internal communications and share with the team so learnings can be captured
Keep senior team up to date with internal comms plans and developments
What we’re looking for:
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as ability to source stories from employees
Proficient in SharePoint
Ability to present information (e.g. key messages, new guidance, change management messages, statistics, performance results etc.) in an engaging and accessible way.
Able to work from a brief to produce innovative and varied internal communications
Highly organised and able to work on own initiative
Effective communication skills to ensure clarity for colleagues and clients all any level
Ability to manage internal stakeholder relationships and influence participation
Promote a collaborative approach to the design of communications and engagement solutions
Relevant experience in communications and engagement roles within a busy department
Experience of operating at all levels of the organisation, using people insight and business knowledge to support informed decision making
Experience of working as an internal business partner to provide creative engagement and communication advice and solutions
Able to create engaging, interesting content suitable for different audience groups and different communication channels
Hands-on experience of an email management system and managing distribution lists
Experience of supporting on the delivery of internal engagement events, whether physical or virtual
