Pathways to Housing DC is hiring a Communications Manager to join our mission-driven team in Washington, DC. This hybrid, full-time role focuses on developing and executing a comprehensive communications plan to raise awareness, engage supporters, and support fundraising.

You'll manage digital channels, craft stories about our Housing First work, collaborate with program staff, and ensure consistent messaging across platforms. Occasional in-person work at the DC office is required.

Qualifications

• At least three years of relevant communications, marketing, journalism, or content development experience.
• Strong writing and editing skills with ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.
• Experience managing digital communications including email, social media, and website content.
• Experience creating visual materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or comparable tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage communications: develop a plan, manage content calendar, coordinate reviews and deadlines.
• Develop content and tell our story: write and edit newsletters, website content, social posts, impact reports, presentations; gather stories.
• Engage audiences and support fundraising: manage email and social media, support fundraising appeals and donor updates.
• Coordinate design and production: design materials with Canva/Adobe, manage archives, coordinate freelancers and production timelines.
