Job summary

Pathways to Housing DC in Washington, DC, seeks a Communications Manager for a hybrid role to lead public communications and donor outreach. You will develop and carry out a plan that raises awareness, engages supporters, and supports fundraising efforts.

You will manage digital channels and craft content that explains our Housing First work and its impact. You’ll collaborate across programs, spend time in the field gathering stories, and ensure respectful, privacy-conscious storytelling while

Qualifications

• At least three years of relevant communications, marketing, journalism, or content development experience.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with experience adapting content for different audiences and channels.
• Experience managing digital communications, including email, social media, and website content.
• Ability to attend occasional in-person meetings, program visits, and events in the Washington, DC area.
• Experience creating visual materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a communications plan aligned with fundraising priorities.
• Manage a content calendar across email, social media, our website, publications, and events.
• Coordinate reviews, approvals, and publication deadlines with colleagues across the organization.
• Translate program data into clear, accessible content for varied audiences.
• Capture and edit photos and short videos for digital communications.
