Job summary

Excelerate Energy, Inc. seeks a senior reporting professional to reconcile commodity trade-book results with financial reporting.

You will coordinate inputs across Risk, FP&A, Accounting, and Commercial to investigate material differences and explain how trade-book performance ties to earnings. Responsibilities include monthly forecast-to-actual analysis, budgeting support, and development of ETRM reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Requires 7+ years leading cross-functional reporting, reconciliation, forecasting, or financial analysis.
• Experience connecting trading results to management and financial reporting.
• Experience with natural gas, LNG, or commodity derivatives.
• Strong understanding of trade capture, mark-to-market, P&L, inventory accounting, and accruals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reporting that reconciles commodity trade-book results to financial results.
• Coordinate inputs from Risk, FP&A, Accounting, and Commercial to prepare reconciliations and explain material differences.
• Perform monthly forecast-to-actual analysis for commodity-related earnings and explain variances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with commodity-related analysis.
• Analyze differences related to valuation, inventory treatment, timing, accruals, settlements, hedge results, costs, and reporting classifications.
• Prepare clear reporting that links commercial performance to reported financial results.
• Review transaction, position, volume, valuation, and P&L data used in reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate resolution of reporting differences with data owners and adjust methodologies as needed.
• Identify recurring reconciliation issues and propose improvements to systems and controls.
• Support development of ETRM reporting capabilities for trade-book, financial, and risk reporting.
• Provide backup support for Risk reporting and analysis, as assigned.
• Assist with audit, compliance, SOX, and reporting-control requirements.
