Job description

The Natural Gas Trading Analyst supports the trade team with reporting needs and managing complex trade details. This role ensures consistent, accurate publication of the Daily P&L and forward positions, while driving process improvements and enhanced reporting capabilities through tools like Power BI.

What You’ll Do

• Manage daily P&L validation, resolve discrepancies, and deliver timely results to key stakeholders
• Collaborate across Front Office, Back Office, Finance, Legal, and Accounting to ensure alignment
• Drive process automation and develop reporting dashboards
• Monitor operational risk exposures, maintain compliance and audit readiness, and ensure accurate ETRM data capture
• Analyze key drivers behind daily P&L movements

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mid-office or scheduling role within the energy or commodities sector
• Proficiency in ETRM systems and advanced Excel
• Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Python for reporting and data visualization
• Strong ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills to work across diverse teams and personalities
• Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Python for reporting a plus CXL ETRM knowledge a plus
