Job summary

Clearwater Analytics is seeking a detail-driven Commissions Analyst to own the quarterly sales commissions process for our Go-To-Market organization in California. You will ensure every rep is paid accurately and on time, turning complex sales data into clean, audit-ready statements each quarter.

You’ll collaborate with Sales, Revenue Ops, Legal, and Billing leadership, helping shape automation of commissions while supporting CA payroll and GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related analytical field.
• 2+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, VBA).
• Familiarity with Salesforce and revenue/billing systems; exposure to incentive compensation platforms is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain compensation mechanics clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quarterly commissions calculation process including data collection and documenting statements.
• Review data and statements for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness before payout.
• Evaluate Salesforce opportunities to confirm commission plan release conditions.
• Manage payout deadlines and investigate discrepancies; coordinate with Sales, Deals Desk, Revenue Ops, Legal, Billing and Payroll.
• Assist in implementing a new commissions plan on the incentive compensation platform for scalability.
• Serve as a go-to contact for sales stakeholders with timely updates on commission questions.
• Support ad hoc projects within the US Controllership (GL Accounting) team.
