Job description

A senior on-site commissioning leadership role acting as the Owner's Commissioning Site Manager across multiple data center projects. Responsible for managing and coordinating Level 1–5 commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, BMS, and EPMS systems, interfacing with general contractors, designers, and vendors throughout.

Core Responsibilities

Mechanical Commissioning — Leading pre-commissioning and commissioning of the full mechanical plant including chillers, cooling towers, dry coolers, CRAHs, AHUs, MAUs, heat exchangers, VFDs, water treatment systems, piping distribution, BMS, and associated control sequences. Conducting flushing, pressure testing, sequence of operations validation, and mechanical performance checks.

Electrical Commissioning — Overseeing commissioning of the full electrical stack including generators, paralleling switchgear, medium/high/low voltage transformers, UPS systems, battery systems, switchgear, PDUs, busways, ATS/STS, EPMS, PLC controls, and grounding and lighting control systems. Applying NETA test specifications throughout.

Testing & Validation — Executing pre-site and on-site functional testing, verifying sequences of operations, and conducting mechanical and electrical performance checks across all commissioning phases.

Troubleshooting — Diagnosing and resolving system issues during startup and providing ongoing technical support through handover.

Stakeholder Coordination — Acting as the owner's commissioning representative across GCs, design consultants, and equipment vendors on multiple concurrent sites.
