Commissioning Manager – Data Center Project

Lead the Delivery of a Major Data Center Project

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning operations on a large-scale data center project in the United States.

This is a key leadership role within a high-performing mission-critical project team, offering the opportunity to oversee the commissioning strategy and execution for cutting-edge hyperscale infrastructure.

The Role

As Commissioning Manager, you will take ownership of the commissioning process from pre-commissioning through integrated systems testing and final client handover.

You will manage commissioning teams, coordinate contractors and vendors, and ensure all systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications and schedules.

This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across complex mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all commissioning activities across the project
• Develop and oversee commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
• Coordinate with project management, contractors, consultants, and client teams
• Manage commissioning engineers and specialist vendors on-site
• Oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls system testing
• Lead integrated systems testing (IST) and client witnessing activities
• Ensure commissioning milestones are achieved in line with project schedules
• Identify and resolve technical or operational issues during commissioning phases
• Maintain commissioning documentation, reporting, and turnover packages
• Promote and enforce the highest standards of safety and quality compliance

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on data center or mission-critical projects
• Strong background in MEP systems and commissioning processes
• Experience managing commissioning teams on large-scale construction projects
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work within fast-paced project environments and tight deadlines
• Strong understanding of critical power, cooling, and control systems
• Relevant engineering degree, technical qualification, or equivalent experience preferred

Preferred Experience

• Level 5 commissioning and IST experience
• Experience with BMS/EPMS systems
• CSA or MEP construction background
• Exposure to large-scale critical infrastructure projects
