The Role
As a Data Center Commissioning Lead, you will own the full commissioning lifecycle across development projects, ensuring systems are tested, validated, and aligned with project schedules.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading commissioning scope definition, sequencing strategy, and execution alignment
- Acting as the central commissioning interface between Engineering, Construction, Operations, vendors, and third-party commissioning agents
- Aligning commissioning activities with master project schedules (Primavera P6 / MS Project)
- Reviewing and validating commissioning plans, test scripts, and procedures for electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Providing onsite leadership during critical commissioning phases, including Factory Witness Testing, startup, functional testing, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
What They’re Looking For
- 3-5+ years’ experience in data center engineering, construction, or commissioning
- Proven experience supporting or leading commissioning on large-scale, mission-critical data center projects
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution (MV/LV), mechanical systems, BMS/EPMS integration, and integrated systems testing
- Experience with Primavera P6 / MS Project and schedule coordination
- Excellent cross-functional leadership, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills
Travel
Significant travel (50–75%) to project sites, including extended onsite presence during critical commissioning and IST phases.
