Job summary

Legacy Professional Services, LLC is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead and coordinate commissioning activities for hyperscale data center construction projects from construction through testing, integrated systems validation, and final turnover.

You'll collaborate with project leadership, MEP teams, QA/QC, vendors, and client representatives to ensure critical building systems are installed, tested, and documented for reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technical field.
• Seven+ years leading commissioning, MEP construction, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, and critical infra systems.
• Experience with commissioning plans, tests, checklists, and turnover docs.
• Understand construction sequencing, energization, and phased turnover.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and control narratives.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities from construction completion through final turnover.
• Develop and maintain commissioning plans, schedules, and checklists.
• Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, controls, life safety, and other systems.
• Oversee startup activities, IST, and issue resolution.
• Prepare turnover documentation and ensure readiness for operations.
• Lead readiness meetings and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Review technical docs to support commissioning.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and client reps.
