Job summary

Legacy Professional Services seeks a Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities for hyperscale data center construction projects from construction through testing, IST, and final turnover.

You’ll collaborate with project leadership, MEP teams, QA/QC, vendors, and client reps to ensure critical building systems are installed, tested, documented, and ready for reliable operation. Strong leadership and communication are essential throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in a technical field or project delivery.
• 7+ years leading commissioning, MEP construction, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls and critical infra systems.
• Experience with startup, testing, and turnover documentation.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, ladders, and control narratives.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and project stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office and project platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate commissioning activities from construction completion through final acceptance and turnover.
• Develop and maintain commissioning plans, schedules, checklists, and documentation.
• Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, controls, life safety, and other systems.
• Verify systems are complete and ready for progression through commissioning stages.
• Manage readiness, pre-functional inspections, startup activities, and IST.
• Lead readiness meetings and report status to stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specs, test procedures, and submittals to support commissioning.
• Coordinate startup and testing with manufacturers, vendors, and client reps.
• Identify and track deficiencies and drive resolution.
• Ensure turnover documentation is complete and compliant.
