Job summary

Edison Smart® is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to support a large-scale hyperscale data center project in Texas. You will oversee commissioning activities across critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure, ensuring systems are tested and handed over according to project and client requirements.

Key responsibilities include leading commissioning activities, managing teams and vendors, and ensuring safety and compliance with project standards. Strong electrical and mechanical systems knowledge is essential for candidates.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commissioning Manager within data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems within hyperscale facilities.
• Experience managing commissioning processes from installation through to handover.

Currently looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to support a large-scale hyperscale data center project in Texas.

This position will be responsible for overseeing commissioning activities across critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure, ensuring systems are tested, validated, and handed over in line with project and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
• Manage commissioning teams, subcontractors, and specialist vendors on-site
• Oversee pre-functional and functional testing activities
• Coordinate commissioning schedules, IST activities, and system turnover
• Review commissioning documentation including scripts, procedures, and test packs
• Work closely with QA/QC, construction, and client teams throughout project delivery
• Track commissioning progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolution
• Ensure all systems are commissioned safely and in line with project standards

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commissioning Manager within data centres or mission critical environments
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems within hyperscale facilities
• Experience managing commissioning processes from installation through to handover
• Ability to lead teams within fast-paced construction environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
