Job description

Commissioning Project Manager — Data Center Construction

Location: Texas | Type: Full-Time | Travel: 50%

What You Own

• Lead Cx (commissioning) execution for hyperscale data center projects, from design review through integrated systems testing and warranty-phase closeout.
• Drive factory witness testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT).
• Build and manage the commissioning schedule, integrating it tightly with construction, startup, and energization milestones.
• Author and control Cx plans, MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs, ensuring every procedure is technically sound and field-executable.
• Run integrated systems testing (IST), coordinating electrical, mechanical, controls, and fire/life safety trades through complex failure-mode and load-bank scenarios.
• Chair commissioning meetings that keep the client's engineering team aligned and accountable.
• Report commissioning status, risk, and readiness directly to ownership and operations stakeholders.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of commissioning experience on mission-critical facilities; data center experience strongly preferred
• Deep working knowledge of electrical distribution, standby power, and mechanical cooling systems at scale.
• Fluency in commissioning standards and frameworks.
• A track record of running Level 4/5 integrated testing on live or near-live critical facilities.
• PE, CxA (BCxP/CCP), or PMP credentials are a strong plus, not a hard requirement, we care more about what you've actually commissioned.
• The communication skills to translate technical risk into plain language for owners, and the backbone to push back on schedule pressure when safety or quality is on the line

Why This Role

• Work on industry-defining builds, the kind of projects that show up in trade press and set the bar for uptime.
• Join a team that treats commissioning as engineering, not paperwork, your technical judgment shapes how these facilities actually perform.
• Clear path to Senior Commissioning Manager / Director of Commissioning for people who deliver.
• Competitive salary, per diem/travel package, and a benefits package built for people who spend real time on job sites.
