Job summary

Moore's Electrical & Mechanical in Altavista, VA is seeking a dynamic intern for the Summer of 2027 to join our Projects team. This paid internship provides hands-on experience in mechanical system troubleshooting, quality control, and startup processes, with mentorship from seasoned professionals.

We seek an enthusiastic student pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree who can communicate well, use MS Office, and work independently or as part of a team. Some travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our Project Closeout Technical Support Manager
• Learn the different parts of HVAC, Plumbing, and Piping systems and startup procedures
• Support field operations with any technical issues that arise
• Visit job sites when required to test/troubleshoot any issues
• Team building with Commissioning team and other interns
• Prepare presentation for Leadership at the completion of the internship
