Job summary

Oscar is seeking Commissioning Engineers to join its electrical team on major construction and energy projects. You will provide electrical technical support across the full project lifecycle and travel extensively to site locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field, or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum one year of construction management or commissioning experience.
• Detail orientation sufficient to organise and manage multiple project tasks.
• Basic understanding of key construction documents and their relationship to project management, field execution, and QA/QC.
• Basic understanding of how design, construction, start-up, and turnover align within the project delivery process.
• Fundamental knowledge of commissioning processes and commissioning process delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review owner project requirements
• Assist in performing scope reviews
• Assist in creating commissioning plans, checklists, and tests
• Perform field visits and observe commissioning inspections and tests where prescribed means and methods are provided
• Assist in writing issue descriptions and field reports
• Assist in creating Systems Manuals
• Build effective working relationships with people of diverse backgrounds and organisational levels
• Support planning and execution of system tests, including NETA, SCADA, controls, and operations verification of energy storage systems
• All other duties as assigned
