Job summary

Hatch Ltd. is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning effort on metals projects.

You will head the Commissioning Team(s) on client sites and Hatch offices, guiding recruitment, mobilisation, training and supervision of personnel including vendors and specialists. The role requires a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, plus 5 years supervising commissioning for electrical facilities, and broad knowledge of mechanical, instrumentation, piping and electrical systems for

• At least 5 years supervising commissioning personnel on new electrical facilities.
• Broad knowledge of installation, testing, and operation of Mechanical, Instrumentation, Piping and Electrical Systems.
• Significant technical background in energy, mining or mineral processing.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for and lead project Commissioning Team(s) on client sites and Hatch offices, including recruitment, mobilisation and training.
• Coordinate with engineering and construction to ensure efficient handover and optimal commissioning sequence.
• Ensure QA/QC of commissioning deliverables and identify resource requirements early.

Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join our Commissioning team working on Metals projects.

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Be responsible for and lead project Commissioning Team(s) as assigned by the Commissioning Manager in Hatch offices during planning and on client sites during execution. This responsibility includes supporting recruitment, mobilisation, training, supervision and de-mobilisation of personnel including vendors and technical specialists
• Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure efficient plant handover to commissioning and achieving an optimal commissioning schedule. This includes ensuring testing requirements are included in the design (for example bypass lines, temporary power and water, module isolation valves) and where possible construction programs are aligned with the optimal commissioning sequence
• Be responsible for the quality assurance and control of all project commissioning deliverables and activities on a projectBe responsible for early identification of commissioning resource requirements and assisting Hatch train, develop and recruit high quality commissioning personnel.
  

You will bring to the role:

• Relevant Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent experience
• Commissioning Engineer must have at least 5 years specific experience in the supervision of specialized commissioning personnel on new electrical facilities
• A broad knowledge of installation, functional testing, and operation of Mechanical, Instrumentation, Piping and Electrical Systems utilized for various processes. As a Commissioning Engineer, it is critical to be able to direct multi-discipline teams and to see the entire picture of the operating plant.Knowledge, skills and ability to manage a diverse group of technical, project and operating personnel
• Significant technical background in energy, mining and / or mineral processing.
  
• Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions
