Job summary

AllSTEM Connections seeks an experienced Commissioning Specialist to support Data Center commissioning onsite in the Washington DC / Northern VA area. You will lead electrical commissioning activities, perform QA/QC, functional performance testing, equipment start-up, and ensure the environment meets design requirements and stakeholder expectations.

Expect to collaborate with clients, project stakeholders and contractors while traveling up to 95% to deliver safe, reliable and efficient data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience as an electrical commissioning specialist.
• 2–3 years focused experience documenting L2/L3 activities and leading L4/L5 testing for Data Center commissioning.
• Working knowledge of NFPA, NETA and NICET electrical testing and code requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 95%.
• Must pass background check.

Job description

As a Commissioning Specialist on our team, you will participate in onsite activities to support Data Center Commissioning projects. You will have the opportunity to lead and perform all electrical commissioning related activities to include testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance) and equipment and systems start-up, resulting in a safe and functional environment that meets established design requirements and stakeholder expectations. Candidate will engage in owner’s L4-L5 Data Center commissioning while overseeing and supporting the L0-L3 commissioning activities. You will have the responsibility of working directly with clients, project stakeholders, and contractors to achieve the best possible outcome for the owner/client with a focus on operational performance and efficiency.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience
• 10+ years of progressive experience as an electrical commissioning specialist in activities such as: Utility infrastructure, life safety, electrical power systems, low voltage systems, building/facility systems/components, and facility O&M
• 2-3 years of focused experience as an electrical commissioning specialist on documenting L2/L3 activities and leading L4/L5 testing for Data Center commissioning
• Working knowledge of NFPA, NETA and NICET electrical testing and code requirements
• Understanding of the Construction process
• Must be able to clear a background check
• Ability to travel up to 95%

• Industry recognized commissioning certification
