Job summary

American Family Fitness in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking a full-time sales associate to enroll new members and support retention. The role offers a structured progression path with multiple pay levels based on performance and tenure, plus commission opportunities.

Responsibilities include greeting members, giving tours, following policies, meeting monthly targets, and maintaining accurate records in Intouch & Compete.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year sales experience required.
• Red Cross CPR/AED certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Salary history will not be requested or used in the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Get and keep members.
• Greet members and guests with a welcoming, energetic, and positive attitude; use members’ names.
• Adhere to training policies and safety protocols, and follow emergency response procedures.
• Attend mandatory meetings.
• Provide facility tours to prospective members and match them with memberships.
• Make daily calls/touches to generate and follow up on leads, with a minimum of 50 touches per day.
• Review sales materials and participate in weekly sales meetings to enhance performance.
• Meet monthly individual and team goals; maintain commission records.
• Handle member situations and assist in directing club operations when management is absent.
• Plan and implement promotions.
• Uphold all club policies and procedures.
• Develop knowledge of fitness benefits, programs, and equipment.
• Input and manage weekly work schedule in scheduling platform.
• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
