Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Commissary Supervisor to coordinate the jail commissary so that each location receives the correct product. Under the direction of the Commissary Manager, you will supervise receiving, tagging, pricing and storing merchandise.

You will assign daily tasks to Gift Commissary staff, ensure timely completion, manage inventory with the General Manager, operate the point-of-sale system, train new hires, and uphold safety procedures and guest service standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a like employment environment or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the receiving, tagging, pricing, and storing of all incoming merchandise.
• Assigns daily tasks to Gift Commissary staff and ensures tasks are performed correctly and timely with strong customer service.
• Coordinates moving of incoming merchandise to retail office, storage areas and/or display floor.
• Cashiers when needed to expedite guest purchases.
• Orchestrates special projects (holidays, events, book signings, etc.).
• Communicates new product or procedure information to team members using the information book.
• Works with General Manager and Commissary Manager to take inventory and maximize floor productivity.
• Fully understands the point-of-sale system.
• Assists guests in any possible way.
• Trains new hires on POS, safety and job responsibilities.
• Follows and enforces emergency procedures.

Education
