Job summary

Aramark Corporation seeks a Commissary Manager for the Pinellas County Jail to direct the daily retail/commissary operations after completing a specialized ACS training program.

You will establish systems for planning, directing, and coordinating commissary activities, oversee staffing, inventory, compliance with sanitation standards, and coordinate promotions for the site. The role may supervise inmate labor and involves pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years retail industry experience.
• Experience managing and communicating in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services.
• Ability to take initiative and make decisions based on information provided.
• Previous retail/convenience store/grocery experience with focus on customer sales, fulfillment and merchandising is desired.
• P&L accountability and/or contract-management service experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain systems for commissary activities and the delivery of products to customers within the account.
• Coordinate unit forecast and unit accounting process.
• Ensure sanitation and safety requirements are met.
• Execute promotions assigned for that location.
• Supervise unit personnel regarding production, merchandising, quality and cost control.
• Oversee labor scheduling, staffing and employee training.
• Conduct inventory and records management audits to comply with Aramark, government and accrediting agency standards.
• This position may supervise inmate labor.
