Job summary

ISS Facility Services - North America is seeking a General Manager for a food commissary in California. The role owns the full P&L, leads a high-performing team, and partners with sales to win new business.

Responsible for budgets, forecasting, and ensuring on-time, compliant production and distribution across served accounts. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years in commissary/central kitchen operations with P&L ownership, strong financial management, and ServSafe

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in commissary, central kitchen, or distribution operations with direct P&L ownership.
• Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and margin oversight.
• Comfortable cross-functionally with sales and client-facing teams.
• ServSafe Manager certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Own full P&L for the commissary, including revenue, cost of goods, labor, and overhead.
• Build budgets, forecasts, and monthly financial reporting with variance analysis to regional leadership.
• Price production and distribution services to meet account margins.
• Drive profitability through efficient operations and cost control.
• Oversee production planning, batch scheduling, and distribution logistics.
• Recruit, hire, train, and retain production, warehouse, and logistics staff.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and health dept. requirements.
• Collaborate with sales on proposals, pricing, and feasibility for new business.
