Acuity is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Underwriter to select, retain and price commercial insurance risks while conforming to established underwriting policies, practices and standards. The Commercial Lines Underwriter provides counsel, training and assistance of a highly technical and professional nature on all lines of commercial insurance. In addition, the Commercial Lines Underwriter works with a specific group of agents, as assigned, in the pursuit of a profitable, growing book of business. Employees must reside in Acuity's operating territory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION :
A college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience. CPCU, CIC or similar insurance designations preferred.
EXPERIENCE :
At least five years experience as a commercial underwriter
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS :
Ability to underwrite large, complex commercial lines accounts

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $150,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
