Job summary

Acuity is seeking a Product Analyst - Compliance to ensure our products and services stay compliant with laws, regulations and court decisions while aligning with customer expectations. This role collaborates with Product Development and Product Operations to review forms, rates, and rules.

Key activities include monitoring regulatory changes, supporting change management, submitting filings via SERFF, and advising stakeholders on compliance risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or extensive applicable experience.
• Experience in the Property/Casualty insurance industry or equivalent, with interest in research and compliance.
• Product research/analysis experience, with demonstrated expertise in either Personal or Commercial lines property and casualty insurance products.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with insurance department filings preferred.

Acuity is seeking a Product Analyst - Compliance to Ensure Acuity’s products and services remain compliant with all laws, regulations and court decisions, while understanding customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work with Product Development and Product Operations teams to review forms, endorsements, notices, rates, and rules for new and existing products to ensure compliance.
• Monitor changes to laws, regulations, insurance department and industry bulletins and updated case law; analyze implications and work with Product Operations and other teams as necessary to recommend updates to products, procedures, or filings.
• Actively participate in any regulatory change management process established by Regulatory Affairs to track decisions.
• Reconcile compliance-related data, verify output of statistical reporting programs, and assist in preparing required submissions to statistical agents and regulators.
• Serve as a point of contact for underwriters, product teams, and other business partners by providing guidance and helping address compliance questions and proactive identify compliance risks.
• Prepare and submit specialty filings via SERFF.
• Actively pursue continued professional development, including enriching industry knowledge, and deepening research and analytical capabilities. This includes participating in industry groups.
• Highly regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or extensive applicable experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Relevant experience in the Property/Casualty insurance industry or equivalent, with an interest in research and compliance is preferred. Product research/analysis experience, with demonstrated expertise in either Personal or Commercial lines property and casualty insurance products. Strong analytical skills and experience with insurance department filings preferred. Detailed knowledge of insurance forms and coverages is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
