The Jonus Group is seeking a dedicated Property Damage / Cargo Claims Adjuster to join a growing team in Mentor, OH. You will investigate, evaluate, and negotiate commercial cargo and transportation claims in line with company policy and applicable laws.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years of commercial claims experience, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to claims management. On-site role with comprehensive benefits and equipment provided.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Active designated home-state adjuster license; ability to obtain reciprocal licenses.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of commercial claims experience.
• Strong backgrounds in Commercial Auto, Commercial Trucking, Cargo, First-party Physical Damage, or Commercial Transportation Claims.
• Direct trucking experience is preferred but not required.

• Investigate all aspects of loss, including coverage, liability, and damages.
• Evaluate and negotiate trucking claims, with focus on cargo/freight and first-party physical damage claims.
• Handle complex and high-exposure claims, including directing on-site investigations when necessary.
• Prepare detailed reports and present claim summaries during client reviews.
• Identify subrogation or fraud potential and develop appropriate handling strategies.
• Maintain active state adjuster licensure in relevant jurisdictions.
• Collaborate effectively with insureds, brokers, carriers, surveyors, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
• Work independently while contributing to the broader claims team.

Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Damage / Cargo Claims Adjuster to join a growing team. This role involves investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving commercial cargo and transportation claims in alignment with company policies, industry regulations, and applicable laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial claims, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to claims management.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $67,000-$87,000 annually


• Employment Type: Direct Hire and Temp-to-Hire opportunities available


• Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including all necessary equipment provided (laptop, monitors, keyboard, mouse, headset).

Responsibilities

• Investigate all aspects of loss, including coverage, liability, and damages.


• Evaluate and negotiate trucking claims, with a focus on cargo/freight claims and first-party physical damage claims.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of approximately 80-120 claims.
  
  
  • Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office.
  
  
  
  


• Preferred: Willingness to work Mountain or Pacific Time business hours.
