We are supporting a U.S. based Insurance carrier that is seeking to bring on several experienced Transportation Claims Adjusters.
This role requires sharp analytical skills, a strong command of written communication, and proven expertise in handling complex transportation claims across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to navigate restrictive commercial trucking policies, and comfortable producing high-quality, professional written work, including coverage analyses, detailed reporting, and denial letters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle first-party property damage, heavy equipment, and cargo damage claims on a multistate basis.
- Analyze and apply coverage on both routine and complex transportation claims, including commercial trucking physical damage and cargo.
- Conduct thorough coverage investigations, addressing frequent coverage issues, and draft comprehensive denial letters when necessary.
- Produce and maintain detailed client reports and communicate claim developments in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare clear, well-structured, and grammatically precise reports, correspondence, and claim documentation.
- Adjudicate claims efficiently while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Recommend and manage reserves appropriately while controlling loss adjustment expenses.
- Document all correspondence, reports, discussions, and decisions within the claims system.
- Notify management promptly of any developments or issues that may affect the underlying claim.
Qualifications:
- At least 3+ years of experience handling commercial transportation claims, including trucking physical damage and cargo.
- Active Adjuster license in home state required.
- New York Adjuster license is a plus.
- Must maintain CEU credits for all active licenses.
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading, with the ability to produce polished, professional, and engaging content for client and internal reports.
- Proven ability to draft coverage analyses, claim summaries, and denial letters with clarity and precision.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex caseloads while meeting reporting deadlines.
