Job summary

North American Risk Services (NARS) is seeking an Auto Property Damage Claims Adjuster for our Commercial Auto/Trucking team. The role requires maintaining claim metrics, managing complex caseloads, and making coverage determinations with strong negotiation and litigation abilities.

This position supports remote work and may involve travel. Applicants must have an active New York Adjuster’s License, a Florida license or ability to obtain one, and at least a high school diploma (2-year degree

Qualifications

• Active New York Adjuster’s License.
• 3+ years of prior claim adjusting experience or completion of the NARS Claims Trainee program.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a Florida Adjuster’s license or other required jurisdictional license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2-year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Claim metrics must be kept current.
• Handle a case load commensurate with the complexity level of claims assigned.
• Requires establishing facts of loss, coverage analysis, investigation, compensability/liability/negligence determination, coordination of medical care, litigation management, damage assessment, settlement negotiations, identifying potential fraud and appropriate use of authorized vendors.
• Timely and appropriate reserve analysis and report completion.
• Attend conferences, client meetings, mentor other adjusters and assist management as requested.
• All file handling must be within state statutes, Client Claims Handling Guidelines and NARS Best Practices.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned, which may include travel.
