Job summary

North American Risk Services Inc. is seeking an Auto Property Damage Claims Adjuster for our Commercial Auto/Trucking Team. This role handles claims with a focus on negotiation, investigation, and settlement, while adhering to state statutes and guidelines.

Working From Home, you will manage a diverse caseload and coordinate with clients and attorneys as needed. Candidates must hold an active New York Adjuster’s License, have 3+ years of claims experience (or complete NARS Trainee program), and

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a 2-year degree preferred.
• 3+ years of prior claim adjusting experience or completion of NARS Trainee program.
• Active New York Adjuster’s License required; Florida license or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain claim metrics and handle caseload based on complexity.
• Establish facts of loss, perform coverage analysis, investigate, and determine liability.
• Coordinate medical care, manage litigation, negotiate settlements, and assess damages.
• Conduct reserve analysis and report completion; comply with guidelines and statutes.

Premier TPA with Growth Opportunities is searching for an Auto Property Damage Claims Adjuster for our Commercial Auto/Trucking Team

Job Description:

• Claim metrics must be kept current.
• Handle a case load commensurate with the complexity level of claims assigned.
• Requires establishing facts of loss, coverage analysis, investigation, compensability/liability/negligence determination, coordination of medical care (as appropriate), litigation management, damage assessment, settlement negotiations, identifying potential fraud and appropriate use of authorized vendors.
• Also includes timely and appropriate reserve analysis and report completion.
• Ability to attend conferences, client meetings, mentor other adjusters and assist management as requested.
• All file handling must be within state statutes, Client Claims Handling Guidelines and NARS Best Practices.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned, which may include travel.

Education / Licensing / Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, 2-year degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years of prior claim adjusting experience or have successfully completed the NARS Claims Trainee program.
• Must possess an active New York Adjuster’s License.
• Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Florida Adjuster’s license or other required jurisdictional licensing.

Technical Skills:

• Requires ability to negotiate claims and to direct litigation.
• Must have interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
• Requires ability to negotiate claims and to direct litigation.
• Must have negotiation and litigation skills for significant work with attorneys and arbitration on first and third- party claims.

• Requires lifting of files and boxes up to approximately 20 pounds.
• Repeated use of a keyboard, mouse, and exposure to computer screens.
