Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Counsel, Commercial Transactions to draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of customer-facing and strategic commercial agreements with a focus on SaaS, cloud services, data processing, and AI-enabled offerings.

You will partner with Sales, Finance, Security, and Compliance to enable growth, improve contracting processes, and manage risk while leveraging AI legal technology tools and collaboration platforms.

Qualifications

• JD required with active bar membership.
• Experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, professional services, data processing and enterprise commercial agreements.
• Experience supporting complex commercial contracting environments.
• Strong understanding of technology, security, privacy, IP, and regulatory considerations.
• Experience with AI-enabled products and emerging technology issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer, procurement, strategic commercial negotiations and technology-related contracts (SaaS, software, cloud, AI, partnerships).
• Provide strategic legal counsel to internal stakeholders; manage high-volume contracts and provide timely responses.
• Engage with customers to ensure alignment and satisfactory outcomes.
• Propose and implement process improvements, standard forms, and variations to meet product requirements.
• Leverage AI legal tools and technical platforms (Salesforce, Ironclad, Asana) to increase efficiency.
• Support pricing initiatives and governance with Finance and operations; participate in approval workflows.
