Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Counsel, Commercial Transactions to draft, review, and negotiate software, SaaS, and cloud services agreements, including AI-enabled solutions and data processing arrangements. The role partners with Sales, Security, Finance, and other teams to scale contracting processes, manage risk, and drive strategic initiatives.

You will advise internal stakeholders, handle a high transaction volume, and continually improve standard contracts and workflows while leveraging AI tools

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• Experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, professional services, data processing, and enterprise commercial agreements.
• Understanding of technology, including legal technology, cloud services, software licensing models, information security, privacy, IP, and regulatory considerations.
• Experience supporting AI-enabled products and emerging technology issues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Intelligence, flexibility, creativity, diligence, resourcefulness, responsiveness, and strong communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer, procurement, strategic commercial negotiations and technology-related legal work (software, SaaS, cloud, AI offerings, and strategic partnerships).
• Provide legal advice and business counsel to internal stakeholders, handling a high volume of contracts.
• Engage with customers to ensure they feel heard and deliver results.
• Suggest process improvements and standard forms to enhance efficiency and align with product requirements.
• Leverage AI legal technology tools to improve efficiency and adaptability.
• Support pricing initiatives and governance projects in collaboration with Finance and business stakeholders.
• Participate in internal approval workflows and manage stakeholder questions.
• Proficient use of AI tools, MS Office, Salesforce, and Ironclad.
