Job summary

Jobot in Manassas, VA is seeking a Superintendent to lead large-scale commercial construction projects. You will oversee field operations, manage subcontractors, coordinate with owners and stakeholders, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery from preconstruction through closeout.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of supervisory experience in commercial construction, strong leadership and communication skills, proficiency with MS Office and project management tools, and OSHA 30/First

Qualifications

• 4+ years of supervisory experience in commercial construction.
• Strong field management and jobsite leadership skills.
• Proven ability to manage site operations, labor relations (including union environments), subcontractors, safety, and schedule execution.
• Demonstrated track record successfully delivering construction projects.
• Solid understanding of building systems and technical construction components.
• Strong decision-making, research, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent time management with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications (or ability to obtain).
• Experience with construction scheduling software, project management platforms, spreadsheets, and virtual construction tools.
• Experience training or mentoring staff on technical processes and quality standards.
• Working knowledge of LEED and sustainable construction practices preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, large-scale commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee site operations, subcontractors, safety, and schedule execution.
• Coordinate with owners, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment and progress.
• Mentor staff and enforce quality standards across the project team.
