Job summary

Sun Light & Power in Berkeley, CA, seeks a Commercial Solar Retrofit Project Developer to build a new commercial solar pipeline and manage customer relationships from inception through after-sales, aiming to exceed sales goals in Northern California. The role requires expertise in PV system sizing and financing options.

The candidate should know the NC commercial solar market, operate Salesforce, and handle forecasting tools like Energy Toolbase and Helioscope.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Northern California commercial solar sales with $3–4M target.
• Knowledge of the Northern California commercial solar market.
• Ability to evaluate and specify PV systems from 20kW to 1MW.
• Experience with forecasting tools Energy Toolbase and Helioscope.
• Understand financing options (PPA, loans, Tax Credits, MACRS).
• Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Valid California driver’s license and reliable car.
• Experience in Salesforce.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assess potential customers’ business and solar energy needs.
• Implement objectives, energy usage, incentives and financing options to develop cost-effective solar solutions.
• Manage customer relationships from inception to close and after sale.
• Build and manage retrofit solar sales pipeline via referrals, cold-calling, networking, and social media.
• Enter daily activity details into internal software.
• Learn internal processes and procedures.
• Other related responsibilities as required.
