Job summary

Sun Light & Power is seeking an Assistant Manager of Residential Operations in California. You will partner with the Director to drive profitable residential solar deployments, coach the operations team, and ensure safe, on-time project delivery within budget.

The role demands a seasoned solar professional with strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills to optimize workflows and stakeholder engagement across field and office teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years solar experience required, residential preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership and people management experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
• College degree required.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the residential operations department to ensure timely, budget-aligned project completion.
• Collaborate with the Director of Residential Operations to meet financial targets for residential projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and reports to improve efficiency.
• Analyze project data to support fact-based decisions.
• Ensure safety and compliance with safety requirements across builds.
• Address client, supply chain, and labor issues as they arise.
• Foster strong communication between management, field, and office teams.
