Job summary

Intertech Ci in Town of Florida, NY is seeking a Technician responsible for installing and servicing commercial security products including intrusion, access control, video, and fire systems.

You will read blueprints, test systems, comply with safety standards, manage cabling, communicate with coordinators and field staff, and participate in on-call schedules. Strong electronics knowledge and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting; programming a plus.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Technical degree in electronics or equivalent work experience.
• Experience performing installation duties in commercial security or related industries.
• Valid driver’s license with clear driving record.
• Ability to drive to and from work office and work sites.

Responsibilities

• Install and service commercial security devices/systems including intrusion, access control, video, and fire.
• Complete final system testing upon completion of installation or service.
• Interpret scopes of work and blueprints.
• Abide by building code standards and company safety standards.
• Identify and prepare pathways and supports for new cabling system installations.
• Pull copper and coaxial cable in backbone, horizontal and riser environments.
• Exhibit professional appearance and conduct.
• Communicate with Service Coordinators, Technicians, Project Mangers, Field Managers and other co-workers as required regarding project or call status.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Participate in on-call schedule.
