Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Commercial Installer to work onsite with our commercial customers in Tempe, AZ. You will install and program integrated security fire and security systems, reading blueprints and wiring diagrams, and ensuring safe, reliable operations.

You may dismantle or reconstruct equipment, coordinate with public safety and teams on larger projects, and coach newer installers. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 2+ years electrical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school training is a plus.
• 2+ years electrical/electronic equipment experience with mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Must be able to operate hand and power tools and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission security systems on customer sites.
• Dismantle and reconstruct equipment as required.
• Coordinate installations with authorities and notify emergency contacts as needed.
• Mentor less experienced installers on larger projects.
• Test system operation and ensure proper signaling and service.
