Job summary

Nonn’s is seeking a Commercial Sales Professional for our flooring division in Wisconsin. Based in our showroom, this full-time role reports to the Commercial Sales Manager and runs Monday through Friday.

Great opportunity to build a sales career in the construction industry! You will develop customer relationships, prepare bids, maintain product knowledge, and coordinate with service/installation teams to ensure customer satisfaction from sale through project completion.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in sales or high-level customer service.
  • 1+ years experience in related industry such as flooring, cabinets, countertops, construction, or homebuilding.
  • Experience creating bids and proposals or using takeoff and estimating programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications on a daily basis.
  • Experience with QFloors, RFMS or similar construction-related business management software preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and MVRO with acceptable record.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly.
  • English communication skills (verbal and written) for training and updates.
  • Math skills from high school or equivalent to prepare bids and calculations.

Nonn’s is currently seeking a Commercial Sales Professional for our flooring division. A successful individual in this role achieves specified sales and margin goals while providing the highest level of customer service through ongoing product knowledge development and refinement of sales techniques. Based in our showroom, this full-time position reports directly to the Commercial Sales Manager and is scheduled Monday to Friday. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop customer relationships.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and keep current on product knowledge and installation.
  • Prepare project bids and ensure jobs meet margin goals.
  • Assist the customer with the selection process while taking into consideration stock materials and purchase programs that have been established with preferred vendors.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding the internal order entry paperwork processes, installation department procedures, and credit department requirements.
  • Maintain contact with the customer throughout the sales and installation process to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Make trips to jobsites as required.
  • Handle all customer service situations with urgency and communicate as needed with Commercial Sales Manager and service/installation department.
  • Contact customer after the installation has been completed to ensure that they are satisfied with the complete project.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, tradeshows and builder meetings as required.
  • Follow and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years experience in sales or high-level customer service.
  • 1+ years experience in related industry or product segment such as flooring, cabinets, countertops, appliances, construction, real estate, or other services related to homebuilding.
  • Previous work experience creating bids and proposals or using takeoff and estimating programs.
  • Previous work experience using Microsoft Office applications as a daily requirement.
  • Previous work experience using QFloors, RFMS or similar construction-related business management application preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver license and meet our minimum standards following a Motor Vehicle Record review at time of job offer and at regular intervals while employed.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds without restriction and on a regular basis.
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing for training and project updates and to independently handle external and internal requests.
  • Math skills acquired through high school diploma or equivalent to prepare accurate bids and measurements, calculate fractions and percentages, convert square feet and square yards, and understand basic financial transactions.
