Commercial Relationship Manager at Sunflower Bank, N.A.

Summary

The Commercial Relationship Manager collaborates with a commercial lending team and senior management within the Commercial Line of Business to develop and execute a business plan and market strategy.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage and expand a portfolio of commercial clients.
  • Lead and participate in the acquisition and documentation of loan and deposit transactions.
  • Coordinate credit applications and administration.
  • Structure and price loan, deposit, and TM transactions.
  • Present credit requests for review and approval.
  • Manage client relationships across loans, deposits, and other products.
  • Refer clients to specialized departments for additional services.
  • Respond to referrals and participate in new business development.
  • Interview applicants, structure and analyze loan requests, and close loans and deposits.
  • Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and risk assessment.
  • Handle customer service inquiries and monitor loan performance.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced lenders.
  • Participate in community activities and cross-sell bank products.
  • Adhere to industry laws, regulations, and bank policies, including Fair and Responsible Banking and the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics, with at least 12 semester hours in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years in lending and relationship management, with experience structuring and pricing credit relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Strong sales and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be bondable.
