Description

We are seeking an experienced service technician who performs scheduled and contract commercial/light industrial refrigeration system maintenance at client facilities. Assists with refrigeration system/equipment installations and equipment start-up / commissioning at client facilities. Works closely with RD&S service coordinators and sales staff to develop long-term client relationships. Prepares recommendations for client facility service / equipment replacement based on service visit. Commercial/light industrial customers include cold storage facilities, distribution centers, and production facilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Execute routine maintenance, contractual planned maintenance, and emergency service work independently or with apprentice assistance.
2. Complete service reports for planned service and maintenance contracts for follow-up actions.
3. Support customers with troubleshooting refrigeration systems and control systems, including split and parallel rack systems, chillers, packaged units, etc.
4. Work with tablet-based service ticket software to complete daily Work Orders.
5. Accurately prepare and submit all time/Work Order reports daily, including notes on follow-up needs and materials.
6. Ensure proper information is provided for client billing, including receipts for expenses.
7. Communicate with supervisors to resolve issues timely.
8. Maintain professionalism and proper attire when interacting with clients.
9. Maintain current licenses required for the role.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
11. Promote a professional work environment based on company values.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

1. 10+ years experience in commercial refrigeration.
2. High School Diploma and technical/trade certification in refrigeration.
3. Advanced OEM training and experience with CO2 refrigeration preferred.
4. Required safety and equipment training completion.
5. Excellent customer service skills and eagerness to learn.
6. Willingness to travel up to 90% locally.
7. Training/certification in operating lifts and forklifts.
8. EPA and OSHA certifications required.
9. Valid driver’s license required.
